More About What I Believe

My husband, Brian, and I have been blessed with a beautiful family of (counting kids, spouses, and grandchildren) sixteen! We are so thankful for our wonderful offspring and love the privilege of watching them raising up their own.

I am mostly retired after a long and amazing career as an ER nurse. Brian has just retired from his own business, so we are freed up to do some traveling and other activities on our bucket list. We absolutely love spending time in our early 1800s home, where we keep busy with maintenance and updating projects.

I believe that the Bible (both Old and New Testaments) is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and that what God has put in it, He means – every word of it.

I believe in the Trinity of God the Father, Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I believe the heavens and the earth were created by this Triune God, as described in Scripture, and that it is sustained and supported by Him.

I believe in salvation through Christ alone, that He suffered and died for our sins, that He rose on the third day, and ascended into heaven, now sitting at God’s right hand, and that He will return at the end of the age to judge the alive and the dead.

I believe that the Christian Church is the Bride of Christ and that His Church will be caught up with Him to spend eternity with Him.

I am so grateful for the the personal relationship I have with my Lord and Savior, for His love, and for the truth of the Gospel that strengthens my faith. I strive to stay closely connected with Him, following His example in every way. Being only human, I fail and fall frequently, and when I fall, He picks me up, allows me to walk in His forgiveness, and never gives up on me. He is my all-in-all, and I trust and depend on Him for everything in my life.
